AIDS Prevention & Care Ministry
Since its inception HIV/AIDS has had a profound effect on our community and our culture. The AIDS Prevention & Care Ministry works to spread awareness of the disease and ways to prevent infection. This ministry also provides support for persons and families coping with HIV/AIDS infection, treatment, and related loss. Class Leaders Council
The Class Leaders System of the A.M.E. Church allows membership to stay intimately connected to the Pastor and his vision for the church through leaders appointed to provide constant contact, prayer, and encouragement to smaller groups of assigned members. The Class Leaders Council is comprised of all Class Leaders as appointed by the Pastor. Faith, Activity, & Nutrition (F.A.N.)
The goals of F.A.N. are to: (1) help the denomination understand health as an integral part of the faith of the Christian Church, (2) promote the health concerns of its members, (3) advocate access to health care as a right and not a privilege, (4) challenge and work to reform the unjust structure of the health delivery system, (5) seek to make the denomination a healing faith community, (6) collaborate with community organizations to improve the health care system, and (7) encourage each connectional organization to include a health component in its life and work. Health & Wellness Ministry
The Health & Wellness Ministry seeks to promote the health and healing of the church community and beyond by providing resources and programming for people to become physically, spiritually, and emotionally healthier. Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Defined as "holy, believing, persevering prayer whereby someone pleads with God on behalf of another or others who desperately need God's intervention", intercession is a vital part of the overall care of our congregation. Our intercessors have answered God’s call to pray for the needs and concerns of our congregation, community, state, nation, and the world. One-on-one prayer is offered weekly between Sunday morning worship services in the Welcome Center and the team also gathers weekly for corporate prayer. Married Couples Ministry
Created to explore God’s purpose for marriage and to seek His divine guidance to grow the unions that exist and that will exist; the Married Couples Ministry utilizes prayer, Bible study, rap sessions, outings, and other interactions to promote a healthy, balanced understanding of how husbands and wives should love and relate to one another just as Christ loved the church. Military Family Ministry

New Member Orientation
New Members Orientation Council helps bring new members in the the fold and is available to answer any question about membership and life at Bethel. For more information and/or if you are a new member and need assistance, please email New Members.
Sick & Shut-In Ministry
Sick & Shut-In Ministry members call, visit, and serve communion to those facing health challenges that may prevent them from attending church on a regular basis. This ministry also provides a list of individuals to the Intercessory Prayer Team and printed publications for the entire congregation to continue to keep these persons in prayer. Singles & Singles Again Ministry
The Singles and Singles Again Ministry (SASM) ministers to single adults in whatever stage of singleness they find themselves in: never married, divorced, widowed, widower. This ministry seeks to encourage single and single-again adults to trust God’s good provision for our lives and remind them that God has not withheld his very best from them if they remain unmarried, are no longer married, or have lost their spouse. Through tailored events and activities, ministry members are encouraged to live purposefully and continue to grow spiritually, relationally, and emotionally in their singleness. Substance Abuse Prevention & Recovery Ministry
Utilizing Biblical principles the Substance Abuse Prevention & Recovery Ministry seeks to help people overcome the guilt, frustration, hopelessness, fear and shame associated with alcoholism and drug abuse. This ministry also provides community based health education and prevention services through counseling and mentoring to encourage a substance free lifestyle. Wellness & Recreation
